Nashville Food Guide: Five Places to Eat in Nashville

In my last blog, I promised that I would make an entire blog all about what we ate in Nashville so here it is! There were so many places we enjoyed eating at, so I wanted to make a blog devoted to just the amazing restaurants and eateries we visited around the city. Read on to learn more about five great places to eat in Nashville:

Chicken Guy!

My husband’s favorite show is Guy’s Grocery Games on Food Network, hosted by Guy Fieri. On top of being a Food Network star and chef, Guy owns so many restaurants including Chicken Guy!, which offers the most amazing chicken tenders you’ll ever eat with over 20 different sauces to choose from!

Along with the Nashville location, there are a couple of other Chicken Guy! locations across the country including Gatlinburg, Tennessee and at Walt Disney World in Florida. When we go to Disney World, eating at Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs is something that’s always on our to-do list since my husband loves the restaurant so much… so when we were planning our Nashville trip, it was a must-do to visit the Nashville location!

Pancake Pantry

If you’re looking for a breakfast option in Nashville then you have to check out Pancake Pantry. With so many kinds of pancakes made from scratch, this restaurant certainly lives up to its name! I can’t speak for all the pancakes, but the chocolate chip and sweet potato pancakes are so delicious.

Pancake Pantry is so popular and is such a staple to the Nashville culture so prepare yourself for potentially waiting in a line wrapped around the building, BUT the good news is that the service is fantastic and pretty quick so the line does move pretty fast.

Green Asia at Nashville Farmer’s Market

I mentioned in my last blog that the Nashville Farmer’s Market is a great place to relax and dine after walking around the city. At the Farmer’s Market, there are a wide variety of food locations so there's more than likely something there to satisfy any craving. We got Chinese food from Green Asia and ordered orange chicken, lo mein noodles, sesame chicken and rice which was so good!

Another plus about the Nashville Farmer’s Market is that they have live entertainment playing so you can enjoy great music while you eat your meal and walk around.

Jeni’s Ice Cream

Among the many dining options at the Farmer’s Market, Jeni’s Ice Cream is one of them! Jeni’s has so many unique and fun flavors to choose from including Wildberry Lavender, Frose’ Sorbet, Brandied Banana Brulee and Pineapple Upside Down Cake just to name a few; these are just a few of the many flavors so I’d suggest checking out Jeni’s website to see more of the flavors!

I’m generally a picky eater so I just go for the traditional chocolate but if you’re up for an adventure, consider trying one of the many fun flavors!

Chauhan Ale and Masala House

Another restaurant that you’ll have to check out when you go to Nashville is Chauhan Ale and Masala House! If you’re a fan of Food Network, you may know the restaurant’s co-owner and executive chef, Maneet Chauhan. Along with being a restaurateur, Maneet is a Food Network star, judge and the season two winner of Tournament of Champions.

Chauhan Ale and Masala combines Indian cuisine with traditional southern dishes. Taylor ordered the Hangar Steak, I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Poutine and we also ordered naan bread as an appetizer. The Hangar Steak is a crispy steak that includes garam masala, ginger, garlic and fenugreek. The Tandoori Chicken Poutine is technically an appetizer, but the serving size was the perfect size for me to have as the entrée; the dish includes tandoori chicken, makhani sauce, cheese curds and masala fries. The entire dinner was so delicious and we can’t wait to eat here again the next time we come to Nashville!

Along with Chauhan Ale and Masala House, Maneet also co-owns three other restaurants in Nashville including Tansuo, The Mockingbird and Chaatable.

I hope this blog helps you find some delicious places to eat in Nashville! Check out the links below to learn more about the different food locations I mentioned in the blog.
