Six Ways to Get Ready for Spring

Warmer weather is upon us, my friends! We just reached the beginning of March which means that we are so close to getting an extra hour of daylight and warmer weather is slowly making its way back to us. With the official spring season fast approaching, there are many ways you can get in the springtime mindset that will help you make the most of the new spring season. If you're ready for brighter and sunnier days and you're ready to say goodbye to winter, check out six ways you can get ready for spring down below:

Get Outside

As the seasons are transitioning, this time of year is a great time to get outside and start taking advantage of the warmer weather ahead. Naturally, there may be a couple warm days with some winter-like days mixed in, so be sure to take advantage of the warm days as we are transitioning from winter to spring. There are so many benefits to being outside and being outdoors just as the weather is transitioning out of the frigid winter is a great way to get excited for springtime.

Spring Cleaning

And there’s just something about the warmer weather that can give a little inspiration to all of us and sometimes that inspiration can be just what we need to get some spring cleaning done! If you’re thinking about starting a decluttering journey or just want to give your house a good cleaning, let the start of the springtime be the time that you give your house a little tlc.

Organize All Your Spring Clothes

On the topic of spring cleaning, take some time to clean out your closet and put all of your spring clothes together to make picking out your outfits easier! You’ll feel so satisfied not only having your closet organized but also having all your seasonal clothes right there in front of you will save you so much time and energy when picking out clothes every day.

Add a Plant to Your Home

Even if you’re not much of a gardener, there is something so satisfying about adding a plant to your home. A couple years ago, my husband gave me a few plants that I still have and it has been so fun seeing them grow and the flowers on the plants regrow. I never thought I’d enjoy having plants in my home but I have become such a fan of house plants and even may want to add to our collection of plants sometime soon. House plants can also serve as air purifiers in your home so not only do they add beauty but there are also health benefits to having plants in your home.

Check out Spring Events Near You

With everything starting to bloom and the weather getting warmer, now is the best time to see if there are any upcoming festivals, events and outdoor activities happening near you. Springtime is the best time to take advantage of any parks, botanical gardens, theme parks, or outdoor events. And if they’re free then that’s even better!

Prep for the Months Ahead

The spring season can be a busy time with a lot of holidays and the summer on the horizon; there’s tax season, holidays including Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and summer just around the corner which can include a lot of travel for many. Take the time now to prep for all of those things that are on your to-do list and you'll thank yourself later for getting everything prepped, planned and ready ahead of time.

I hope these tips help you plan and get excited for the new season quickly approaching!

Happy Spring!
